 Joe Speroni

Biography: A life-time member of the ARRL, an active ham radio operator, avid contester and DXer, Joe Speroni authored the software program Morse Academy, promoted the Hawaii QSO party, taught ham classes both in person and via the Internet, led a student group contacting ISS, and has traveled the Hawaiian islands meeting with clubs and their members.
He has a long history in Amateur Radio having been active since a teenager. Out of college he worked in the computer industry in Asia. He was active from Japan with call 7J1AAA, the first “gaijin” licensed in Japan. In retirement he continues to have a strong interest in computer technology and its application to the Amateur Radio Service.
